Scope
These publisher-wide principles apply to Delvierre journals. Each journal may publish more specific requirements in its author guide and journal policies.
Editorial independence and peer review
Editors make decisions on scholarly merit, methodological quality, integrity, relevance, and reviewer advice. Financial, personal, institutional, or commercial interests must not determine editorial outcomes. The review model and any material exception are identified by the journal or published article. Editors and administrators can view the authorised review history for manuscripts they are permitted to manage.
Reviewer confidentiality and conduct
Review invitations, manuscripts, supplementary files, author responses, reviewer identities where protected by the review model, reports, and editorial communications are confidential. Reviewers must acknowledge the applicable conduct rules before accepting, must disclose conflicts promptly, must not contact authors directly, and must not share or exploit unpublished material.
Revisions and repeat review
Authors asked to revise should provide a revised manuscript and a clear response to editorial and reviewer comments, normally point by point. Editors may return a revision to previous reviewers or invite new reviewers to assess whether concerns were adequately addressed. Previous reviewer involvement does not guarantee acceptance, and the editor remains responsible for the decision.
Authorship, originality, and competing interests
Authors must meet the journal's authorship criteria, approve the submitted work, disclose relevant competing interests and funding, and identify overlapping publications or preprints. Fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, duplicate publication, manipulated citations, undisclosed image manipulation, and peer-review interference are prohibited.
Research ethics, data, images, and AI-assisted tools
Submissions must include approvals, consent, permits, registrations, data-availability information, image permissions, and reporting statements where applicable. Authors remain responsible for all submitted content, including material prepared with generative AI or AI-assisted tools, and must disclose such use when required by the journal.
Corrections, retractions, and post-publication review
Confirmed errors are corrected in a way proportionate to their effect on the scholarly record. Retractions, removals, expressions of concern, and other notices are considered where integrity, legality, safety, or reliability requires them. Notices remain linked to the affected record.
Complaints, appeals, and conflicts involving editors
Authors and readers may raise a complaint or appeal with the journal's editorial office. Matters involving an editor are reassigned where practicable. Appeals address process or substantive errors; they are not a route to demand acceptance. Retaliation against good-faith complainants, reviewers, editors, or whistleblowers is prohibited.
Data protection and security
Personal data and unpublished editorial material are processed under the Privacy Notice. Access is role-based, and suspected disclosure, account compromise, manipulated review, or security incidents should be reported promptly.
Guidance and status claims
Delvierre's procedures are informed by recognised scholarly-publishing principles, including guidance from the Committee on Publication Ethics. Reference to external guidance, indexing services, identifier agencies, or preservation systems does not imply membership, acceptance, or active coverage unless expressly confirmed.
